I recently became unemployed and no longer have insurance so when I went to see my doctor for the
back problems I was having after shoveling snow, he wanted to order an MRI. I asked him if there was
another, cheaper test that could be done because I was afraid I could not afford it, however he said
that the MRI was necessary. When leaving the doctors office I talked to the scheduler and she showed
me some information that Drs. Hill & Thomas Co. had dropped off at their office about low cash pay
rates for anyone who does not have insurance, so I asked her for a copy and called. I admit I was a
little skeptical because I have never "shopped" for medical care before but then again I was never in a
position where I was the one paying the bill either. So, I called the number and spoke with a woman,
describing my situation and she said quickly offered the discounted rates that I had seen at the doctors
office. In the end I paid $550 for an MRI that would have cost me double or triple anywhere else for the
same thing. When I went back to see my doctor I told him about my experience and he suggested I
write this story and give it to you because a lot of people could benefit from knowing this. He was very
happy with the quality of the scan and mentioned that Drs. Hill & Thomas Co. has been around for a
long time providing top notch service.

I had a sports injury on my knee and was asked to take an MRI by my orthopedist.
Shopped around and found the best deal with Drs. Hill & Thomas Co (west side imaging). I got it done from Drs. Hill & Thomas Co. for $530, my insurance being United Health. I got quotes from Euclid Hospital and Cleveland Clinic for $1,300 and $1,700. The cost here was almost 1/3rd the price quoted by the hospital, which is amazing.
I did not have to wait long for the scan and got an appointment the following Saturday.
I was helped by Jeff Lunieski (director of marketing and sales, Drs. Hill & Thomas Co.), and everything was done over email and phone (sending my doctor report, validating health insurance details, check for the right MRI scans, cost for the scan per my insurance, etc.), which is very, very impressive.
If I had to get this from a hospital, they generally ask you to come in or make you wait long over the phone. At Euclid Hospital, every time I try to reach the orthopedist I have to at least stay on the phone for 15 mins. What a waste of time!!!
Had my MRI done and was given a DISK immediately to take with me. My reports and a copy of the CD were sent to my orthopedist. It was class A service by Drs. Hill & Thomas Co., and I would highly recommend any one for MRI to check with them, and I am sure you could save a lot of money.

I have an $8,000 insurance deductible, and when my doctor ordered an MRI of my knee I decided to
call around to see where I could get it done for the lowest possible cost. I called the hospital and they
were going to charge in excess of $2,000, so I then called Southside Imaging Center and they informed
me that with my type of insurance I would only be required to pay $472. Seeing as how I was not even
close to meeting my deductible, I was going to be faced with paying out of pocket for the scan and I
was surprised to see how much of a difference there was between what the hospital would charge and
what Southside Imaging charges. My doctor was very happy with the quality of the scan and had the
report in less than 24 hours. Thanks Southside for saving me so much money!
